iPhone 6, My First Onesie & Bathroom Makeover : BerryWeekly

Hello!

This Friday has been long anticipated. Why? It's my first weekend off in a very long time! I can't say I wasn't looking forward to it. Actually, do you not think that when you're looking forward to a particular day, the time leading up to it just drags on?

Well, anyway, since the last BerryWeekly, it did actually snow in London! Whoopie! However, not a lot. By afternoon the snow had melted and I didn't get a chance to build a snowman :(
I hope it does snow properly this year!

Though what did make me happy was my new phone cover! The gold and white combination so pretty. On another note, I got my first onesie! How is that even possible? Well, I was obviously late to jump on that bandwagon, yet it has bambi all over and bambi is my fav, so it was totally worth the wait until I got one I loved! Believe me, it was the comfiest thing ever!! I call it "big peoples baby grow" - yeah, cringe but I think that's it's kind of cute!

Here's the old case next to the new. A bit of photography at it's finest! Who would've thought such a small thing would make you feel happier? Change is good :)

Finally, a super random thing to add to this post: I redid my bathroom. I love a bit of pot pourri and scented stuff in the room, so putting some fragrance drops in there, cleaning the bowl and turning the sticks in the fragrance diffuser made the room smell amazing! The main reason the bathroom was redone was all because of towels. That's right, towels. So, all the towels are matching - the face cloths, the hand towels, the bath towels, the lot! A switch over of all the towels to a warmer shade makes everything seem 100x cosier.
By the way, by 'redone' it was mainly just rearranging and decorating! Well, that was a lengthy description of the bathroom, but believe me, it made me so happy that entire day!

That's it! In case you missed this post, follow me on Instagram to see what goes on during the week. It's fun writing about them on a BerryWeekly afterwards, as Instagram only explains half the story!

Tell me, did it snow a lot where you are this Winter? Did you get to build a snowman ;)?

The Cuckoo's Calling - J.K. Rowling under 'Robert Galbraith'

Hello!

"notice Strike's mind work in a million different ways, looking  at the faintest clues which (we) would disregard and think useless"

You know those times when you're really into reading and read a million books in around 2 weeks? Well, I haven't had a time like that in a while, yet I did manage to finish reading this book in 3 weeks - I was up 3 hours past my 'bedtime' finishing it off last Tuesday, so you already know the ending is intriguing and a complete I-don't-want-to-put-this-down moment.

"I could see this story becoming a movie, and I hope one day, it does!"

The story is a murder mystery of a supermodel whom allegedly jumped off the balcony of her London apartment.  Former soldier, Oxford University student and now homeless private detective, Cormoran Strike (you better believe I had to sound out his first name every time it came up), has been asked to look into it further by no other that the supermodels brother.

Throughout the novel, you notice Strike's mind work in a million different ways, looking at the faintest clues which someone like me would generally disregard and think as useless. As a reader, you're curious to note why certain clues are so important to the detective, but worry not, it is amazing to see how it is all bought together in the final conclusion.

"a complete I-don't-want-to-put-this-down moment"

This is a novel which is read with a good flow, with the storyline vividly playing in your head like a movie, who needs the cinema, hey?! But seriously, I could see this story becoming a movie, and I hope one day, it does! It is fun to read and really grips you, although the ending creeped me out a little with the amount of detail J.K. Rowling (or should I say Robert Galbraith) went into, and the harsh 'reality' of the story.

Overall a good read! Definitely recommend it to you.
Are you a crime/mystery book fan or prefer another, less gory, genre?

My iPhone Case Collection - plus Coupon to PERSONALISE your own!

Hello!

This post is one I am really excited for you to see... You'll understand why VERY shortly!
Anyway, so you may already know that I love to watch YouTube videos (don't we all?) and I've been seeing videos on shoe collections, makeup collections and.... Phone case collections? Yes, phone case collections are quite fun to watch too - it reveals a lot about ones personality - are you more edgy/rock star or more girly/Taylor Swift?

Actually just as I had finished exporting the images, I realised that I forgot to add two other phone cases I have which were stored away - one is from Victorias Secret and the other is a rhinestoned pink peacock! Sorry! Moving on.....

The Pink Polka dot case was the first phone case added to my collection- if I remember correctly. I have the iPhone 4S and have had it for a while now. This case was on sale on Amazon and my friend bought the same one and recommended it to me. Weirdly enough, although we ordered from the same place, mine was a few shades lighter than hers! But it is totally cute and did its job.

This one is one of my favourites. I bought it from my trip to Spain last April and it is gorgeous! I love the girly touch of the roses, and the red colour reminds me of the flamenco classes we took in Spain! It was also inexpensive and I bought it at a market place in Seville. The city is beautiful!

I currently have this one on my phone, it's a bog-standard pink colour with a metallic kind of finish. As it is textured, it's quite easy to hold on to too - being the clutz that I am, it's less likely for me to drop it! Actually, my mum bought this for me from Tortoise Look as it is quite sturdy so keeps my phone scratch-free!

Finally, the newest to the collection: my baby. This one I've designed myself. I added the rhinestones by hand and love the fact I got to personalise it. I bought it from MrNutCase who sell custom phone cases and also a wide range of designs to choose from too! They have many phone models you can buy the cases for and there is no extra charge to add a customised design! The delivery was super fast too - to put it to perspective: I designed and ordered the case on Monday night and it arrived on Wednesday afternoon! 🐵 (<-- I was a happy monkey when it came through my letterbox!)

Enter coupon code: "Thanku10" for 10% off your order!!

Well, there ya go! Have you got a story behind your fav phone case? Oh, and are you more of the edgy or girly type? 😉

Healthy Nails... it starts with a File.

Hello!

Happy Hump Day! With the trendy nail shades for this season being lovely, wouldn't it feel better to have nice, healthy nails to show them off in? Well, after trying out this product, you're 1 step closer - believe me!

I used to use the standard emery boards with a cute pink and yellow stripy pattern, crossing the board from one side to the other on my nails again and again until I get a nice shape. It did it's job but Crystal Nail files seem to do it better!

Excuse my cuticles at the moment, they're horrendous! Stress has a big impact on me, with brittle nails and spots all over my face, exams are not doing me much good right now! For a quick fix, I just shaped up my nails with the Healthy Nails file and it was so much quicker than the emery board! Literally! And the end result was a lot cleaner.

The Crystal Nail file I got was by Healthy Nails and came with a little case! It's so much better to keep in your bag, and is neat and tidy (plus the pointy end won't hurt you).

The pointy end may be a bit dangerous if you leave the file laying around but it does come in handy reaching the corners of your nail. This is perfect to achieve the trendy pointed nails out right now!

You can buy this one from Amazon and check out their website here.
Oh, and there's a fun little video created about the History of Nail Files, FYI:

Have you tried a Crystal Nail File yet?

BerryWeekly: In the city of London

Hello!

Another Friday, another Week pretty much over! It's a good and bad feeling, that - well, on one hand we have two days to just… chill, but on the other hand, time is flying by too quickly. To be honest, do you find that the months of Jan-April just SLIP out of your hands and you just don't know where that time went? I find that during Sept-Dec, the time goes a lot slower, or I just tend to remember more of it?!
Anyway, that doesn't mean to say you and I can't make the best of every month and every week of the year!

This week, I took a trip down to London and being in the beautiful city, a blogger simply cannot forget to take pictures… and share it with you… duh! :D

Walking down the streets of Westminster, you could see the London Eye peeking out from the building! It looked so lovely! We took a little break from the exhibition we went to to grab something to eat - we hadn't realised it had been 8-9 hours since last eaten and suddenly realised we were hungry! As we were walking down the streets, the sun shining and clear blue skies, the London Eye was a nice sight - hence worth having 4 copies of the same image - haha!

I have never been this close to Big Ben. Literally being at the foot of the famous building was astonishing - the weather making it look even better! It is such a lovely atmosphere in the area - clean, intricate and the Big Ben is very practical, especially when your watch has ran out of battery and the iPhone battery doesn't last long!

One truly cannot get over the admiring architecture in London! Not to mention, the love that London seems to have with it's clocks - see, us Londoners really value time, don't we?! :P

Erm.. another pretty building! :) I love the pretty buildings of the city and the atmosphere is just sophistication with party - kind of like 'Work Hard, Play Hard' - I'm definitely a city girl! ;)
On another note, I got a new laptop cover! Yay! I'm using my laptop now and love the fact that the cover is new - it feels like a whole new laptop (with a much lower price tag!) and this time I ordered a keyboard cover too - it is still black and feels a little weird but I am almost used to it! Plus the cover matches my wallpaper!

What do you think of London, and are you more of a city/country person?

PS. Notice the new title? Do you like 'BerryWeekly' or 'Weekly Roundup'? :D
