Top 6 Spring/Summer Dresses - Under $10 | FASHION

Hello!

"great for the various events throughout the season"
Dresses were made for Spring and Summer (well, I guess you could pull it off during the autumn and winter too, but ideally, it's Spring and Summer) and who would believe you could get some super pretty ones for less than $10! Whether you're a student watching your budget, or just don't want to splurge on the dress where the trend may not last until next summer - heck, if you just simply like the dresses, regardless of the price tag, read on.

Isn't it stunning?! I love stripes and the yellow border just makes this dress that extra special. You know they say yellow is the happiest colour? Well, doesn't this dress make you happy!
Buy here.

I saw this dress and instantly thought of laying by the pool or beach, chilling under the sun. Having said that, the piece could also be dressed up with some heels and a cute clutch. Either way, a versatile piece that could be a gem in any collection.
Buy here.

So it looks like two different pieces, but really it's just one. The thing that caught my eye with this one, is that it's unique. Oh, and it's super cute!
Buy here.

Totally a casual dress - my favourites! This one that's probably harder to dress up - but perfect for a picnic-in-the-park kind of day.

Did I mention I have a thing for stripes?

Denim is practically always a trend for Spring/Summer, and a denim dress is totally a nice way to incorporate it. Another one for the picnic-in-the-park kind of day!

So 6 dresses under $10, and all great for the various events throughout the season.
Tell me, what do you think of stripes? Fan or not-so-much?

Last Minute Christmas Outfit Ideas

Hello!

It being Christmas day in 1 week, the most wonderful time of the year, it means parties and gatherings and sometimes we just don't know what to wear! On Christmas Day you'll find me in my PJ's - however it's the parties around the christmas and New Years period that I dress up for!
So, to help you out and give you some inspiration for this festive season, I made 3 outfit ideas that are comfortable, cute and easy to pull off for many events!

Knit Cardigans are perfect for the winter - they are snuggly, comfortable and a winter wardrobe staple! I paired that with a cute floral dress and a pair of cute heeled ankle booties which make the outfit a little more dressy yet not over the top!
This would be great for a casual family get together or switch up the cardigan for a cute blazer for a more going out style!

Soft sweaters are so warm, cosy and easy to wear! I also love festive leggings for Christmas time so the red leggings with snowflakes and reindeers on them - if this doesn't scream winter and christmas then I don't know what does! Also, I recently bought tan Uggs which I have been loving wearing with fluffy socks in the weekend so I thought it would work well with this outfit! My feet are always warm and I love them!
Perfect for very casual get togethers or on Christmas day when you don't want to be worrying about the skirt you're wearing and want to be carefree!

Finally this look is more for going out to Christmas parties and restaurant invites when you're breaking up for the Christmas holidays. I love Velvet Dresses and this burgundy one looks super cute! I'd pair it with tights, black heeled booties to extend the look of your leg length and add height as well as a statement necklace to make you look even more dressy!
Perfect for when you want to be a little more dressed up

So, tell me - are you one to wear Pajamas on Christmas Day (like I do) or do you dress up?

What Your Hat Says About You

Hello!

This time of year brings out the hats: knit, beanie, dappy hats – you name it! So, at first glance what do these various types of hat represent?

1.  Fedora
This clean edge brown fedora straight away represents class. A sort of old English, 1900’s thought is brought to mind when this hat is seen. It can also bring about a bohemian vibe, depending on how you’re wearing it and what you’re wearing it with. With this hat a sense of priority and somewhat power is bought along – so if you want to seem fancy, go for a fedora!

2.  Fur Hat
This particular style of hats reminds me of the Russians. Russians being in the colder climates would generally be more associated with Fur. This type of hat is actually called a “Traditional Cossack Hat” and was originally made from sheep skin – oh the luxury! This hat brings an atmosphere of high-fashion with it and cannot go wrong by pairing it with a knit jumper – just to add with the cosiness of the fur!

3. Beanies
This seems to be the go-to for the winter months for many people. It brings about a sense of comfort and what I call “sweatpants style” – and in this case a bit of hipster too. The beanies with words and slogans like “Swag”, “You can’t sit with us” and “Killin’ It” seem to be everywhere, oh and I’ve even seen one with “Gnarly” on it, which I’m not too fond of! Beanies are great for the can’t-be-bothered-to-do-my-hair kind of days or days when you’re just not having a GHD* no matter what you do or try!

So, yes, I agree that hat’s can amp up any style and make any outfit stand out, as well as providing good protection to your head (in some cases, anyway) but if you’re trying to portray a certain style, be careful on the hat you choose!

Who to be for HALLOWEEN - Costume Ideas!

Hello!

Halloween is the highlight of October, even though it's right at the end!
It's great fun dressing up and watching scary movies or going to costume parties but there's one problem... what to dress up as?!

When I was younger I had this Witch hat that was black with a purple velvet trim and a fake spider stuck onto it which I wore for like 3 years straight because I wouldn't want anything else. One year, I found these fake fangs which when you kind of press your teeth together it lights up, so going trick or treating at about 6pm with a group of friends and our mums when it's really dark, my teeth would guide the way! I wander what happened to them...

Anyway these are my top ideas and how to get the look!

Headband - Claires
Dress - ModCloth
Shoes - Karen Millen
Belt - Asos

The good thing about this is you can wear the dress, shoes and belt throughout the year too, so you know you'll get a lot of use out of it! Plus it's super cute!

Angels and Goddess's look quite similar yet you can go with the boho style for the goddess and buy a halo for the angel look!

Dress: Oasis
Headdress: Asos
Shoes: Asos

So that's another outfit that you can wear again and not only on Halloween!
I personally love the idea for something cute and girly this year for halloween and these are three ideas that you can go with!

And if you're not really doing anything for halloween or planning to dress up, get with a movie, a chai tea latte and some cookies and wait until the first of November comes around - which sounds like just as fun!

Fourth of July Fashion/Outfit Ideas

Hello!

As you obviously know, July is quickly approaching! June has sped by so fast, but I want more sun!
So, July means hot weather, parties by the pool and many celebrations. A HUGE celebration is the Fourth of July. Now, I am in no way American, living in England Fourth of July is just another ordinary day in July for me, but I am in love with the idea of dressing up all patriotic for this day! I wish we had something similar like this in England. Hey, this is kind of like the Diamond Jubilee but every year - so I'm assuming there are street parties in America on this day! Oh, how I was I could be there!

Anyway, even though I can't be there, I did go ahead and imagine what I would wear on this fun-filled occasion if I were American! So I put together 3 outfit ideas for those of you who are celebrating on this day:

1. Casual, Girly: Circle Skirt, Denim and Lace

All these outfits are going to be based around the 'Red, White and Blue' colours, of course, so for this outfit I chose a Red Circle Skirt, a White Lace Top and a Blue Denim Shirt!
The circle skirts are currently in full blast and are available from practically any store at the moment and they look so cute. Not only that, they are practical for the hot weather too! This would look cute with a cropped top or a lace one. The denim shirt could be worn on top of this with the buttons undone for a laid back look. You could even tie the shirt around your waist if it's too hot or tie a cute knot in front to add a flirty vibe. This cute denim shirt has stars on it if you want to be even more patriotic!
White wedges and a white accessory like the watch really tie the look together!

2. Simple but eye-catching Dress

A Red dress with White and Blue floral print detailing - what could be more perfect? This lovely dress from TopShop also has a dainty lace cutout around the waist which shows a little skin but isn't too revealing. I chose to pair this with the same white wedges and then you could throw on a gold necklace. If you're feeling very patriotic go for the Big Eagle statement necklace or a small feather for something more dainty!

3. Shorts and Keds!

This is probably the most casual outfit of all three, with the same Lace top as earlier, a Red Rebecca Minkoff side bag and Red, White and Blue polka dotted Keds! They're so cute and girly, aren't they?
Denim shorts are a total go-to for Fourth of July as they are comfortable, suited to the hot weather and of course, Blue! I feel the lace also gives it a lovely girly vibe and lace is totally a popular print that I personally love (I'm wearing a lace top as I'm writing this, actually!).

So, I hope you Americans have a wonderful day on the Fourth of July and who says we English can't wear this either, I mean the patriotic colours are the same?! I might just wear a red, white and blue outfit on 4th July just for the fun of it!

So wherever you are situated in the big, wide World, I hope you enjoyed this Outfit Ideas post and let me know if you would like to see more!

xoxo,
BerryBloomXO
