Contemporary Jewellery in London | FASHION

Hello!

"they hand-make a lot of their pieces."

Having never been much of a jewellery person, other than the occasional stud here and there, and a trusty bracelet that never comes off my wrist, you won't see me go crazy with the bling. Having said that, dainty necklaces are something I can deal with.

Spotting the brand 'NUDE', a contemporary jeweller in London (also available online), I lost interest as soon as I saw the words "statement". Having said that, not all the jewellery has gone all-out, and there's a huge choice of pieces to pick from!

"It's simple yet beautiful"

The cool thing about NUDE is that they hand-make a lot of their pieces. In fact, the one pictured above is handmade, and I believe they do it right there in-store too! This one is slightly hammered to create the effect of un-even edges. Link to it here.

"a collection is not complete without a silver piece!"

It reflects the light wonderfully, and the best thing about it? It's simple yet beautiful. Like I said, there's something for everyone in that store!

If you know me, you'd know I tend to lean towards gold over silver. Nevertheless, a collection is not complete without a silver piece!

" dainty necklaces are something I can deal with."

All in all, a lovely - different in a good way - necklace which can compliment an outfit nicely!

Tell me, are you one for a statement necklace, or are you more of a fan of dainty ones?

POTW: Bourjois Velvet Rouge Edition Lip Gloss - Nude-ist

Hello!
"knew it was a must-try"

Where have you been if you haven't heard of this product or the Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain, currently only available in the US, which are coincidently both very similar in packaging?! I must say I was VERY excited when they were sitting there in the store and knew it was a must-try, especially with all the hype in the online beauty world!

"Anything that is hair-sticking free, count me in!"

The shade Nude-ist was the one that found its way in my basket - the matte finish lip stain/gloss was another aspect of the product that caught my eye. Anything that is hair-sticking free, count me in!

"looks as though it will last all day"

Having tried it on today, the colour is really pigmented - much more than I had thought, it also seemed to dry matte very quickly and looks as though it will last all day. The overall effect of the stain looks lovely, although I would recommend you to exfoliate your lips to avoid the flake thing that can be nasty.

"you'll understand the hype about them in the beauty world!"

The colour is gorgeous - even the swatch shows the pigment of the product when a tiny bit was used.

Overall, definitely check these products out, they are totally worth their RRP of £8.99 and I'm sure you'll understand the hype about them in the beauty world!
But tell me, are you more of a glossy or matte lip kind of person?

POTW: Batiste Dark & Deep Brown Dry Shampoo

Hello!

"Dry Shampoo is your best friend."
Generally in the summer months we like our hair in the style of Beach Waves - and the heat can cause one to sweat more (sounds eww, I know!) which leads to greasy hair. You may be like me and wash your hair about 3 times a week, so almost every other day, but actually it's not healthy to do so. So, to keep your hair healthy and looking non-greasy, Dry Shampoo is your best friend.

As it is now summer, it is the perfect time to get your hair into 'better shape' meaning (unfortunately) less hair washing as when we wash our hair, we're stripping away the natural oils that are produced meaning the hair is left dry.

I am aiming for twice a week to see if it makes a difference.

"staple and a go-to product on a bad hair day."
After using this dry shampoo once, I can honestly say I love it! I can see it becoming a staple and a go-to product on a bad hair day.

I have tried the non-dark hair version and it is NOT the same. This version is so much easier to blend into your hair and it doesn't look like you have talcum powder in your hair and at £3.99 from Boots you can't go wrong!

So, how many times do you wash your hair a week?

Purchase of The Week: Vaseline Active Fresh Deodorant

Hello!
The name of this product is a bit of a mouthful, the packaging resembles a mushroom and the words 'Antiperspirant' and 'Cream' together makes me feel a little skeptical about this product. Well, you never know unless you try and that's why the POTW* is this very product.

Seeing as it is new, the product was on sale, so I thought 'What the hey?' and picked it up. Summer means sweaty people and sweaty people mean B.O. We can't prevent other people smelling up the train or the classroom but the best we can do is make sure we don't add to the smell!

See what I mean by 'Mushroom'?!
There are many ways to prevent smelling throughout the day, but it begins with a good deodorant in the morning. Later on, you can have a body splash in your bag - but anti-persirants are key!

Overall, the 'mushroom' head does seem quite practical as it would fit perfecting under the arms hence it's a good idea! Vaseline has a great reputation and lets hope it doesn't go against my high hopes!

What's your favourite deodorant for the summer?

Purchase of the Week: Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance

Hello!
Is it really a Miracle?!
This week has been filled with a lot of buying, although my wallet may not be so fond of it, I hope my hair is! Do you find that there are periods in your life that your hair is just not working for you? Well, I felt this is that period for me at the moment! I mean, I've tried different products to see what my hair likes, for example Almond Oil on damp hair, but something just doesn't feel right - so it was time to try something new.

Even the name on the bottle is telling you and I that this product is a miracle - let's just hope it lives up to it's name! I used it this morning and my hair does feel like frizzy already!
I previously have tried the Aussie 'Luscious Long Leave-In Conditioner' and remember being it love with it - but can't remember why I didn't buy it afterwards. That product had the most amazing smell. It lingered throughout the day too, and was definitely a mood lifter! I searched for about 10 minutes for that product but they didn't have it in store, so I just went with this one. I was hoping for the same/similar effect with this Aussie product but didn't find that this was the case - I wish it had been!

Overall, so far so good. Considering that I've only tried the product once so far, I don't think there is enough opinions about it to justify if I'd repurchase, but I shall keep you updated!

What is your miracle hair product?!

Moisturising Skin Oil - Vaseline Review

Hello!

Harsh wind makes skin especially dry in the winter time - getting rid of the healthy glow that we accumulated in the summer time and instead replacing it with dull, dry and sometimes itchy skin!

I had purchased this Vitalising Oil from Vaseline about a year ago, then I forgot about it and recently rediscovered it, and yesterday I bought my second bottle!

I apply this beauty after my night time shower. This makes it so my skin can moisturise during the night so I wake up to soft, silky skin! All I do is dry myself after I get out of my shower (brush my teeth etc.) and apply the oil all over my body.

Yes, as it's an oil you can imagine this is not a sink-staight-into-your-skin type of moisturiser. It is slightly sticky when you first apply it, but it does leave a nice sheen. If you're going on a special day out and want your skin to glow, you can apply it 2-3 hours prior and you'll look good!

It is very cheap and can cure dry skin very well. It also smells AMAZING and I love bath and body products, especially if they smell good! The first bottle smelt amazing, exactly like cocoa butter - the rich smell like the well-known Palmers Cocoa Butter, however, the second/newer bottle smells more like chocolate to me? It's not bad - believe me - but I did REALLY prefer the first and am kind of disappointed.

This is the second time I've bought it, and I remember that I stopped using it the first time because it was not good for my morning showers as it would not sink in my skin quickly, hence making everything 10x more difficult in the morning (when I'm half asleep!).. so fit this into your night time routine if you can!

Oils are great for your skin - you may have heard many using coconut oil on their body - which I've never tried but have baked with.

For your skin saviour this winter, give this a try!
It's also on sale in superdrug at the moment at half price, although the product is available in many stores! With a price of under £3 - what is there to lose?

What is your winter skin saviour?!

Product Empties - Hair Edition

Hello!

I've been seeing these videos all over YouTube lately and thought it'd be great to do one on my blog!
Recently I've finished many products all at once, which is great because that means I can buy loads of new things! Yay!

Anyway, one area in which I have come to an end of many products is hair care. I love using products on my hair as every strand feels extra silky soft afterwards! You know the feeling after you use those GHD's on newly cut hair with no dry ends, well, that's what we strive for everyday and using these products help!

I finished these two products and was glad in one way and sad in another! You probably know the feeling of surprise but are still nodding your head in approval at products at which you didn't expect much from but turned out to be great!

The reason I was surprised with these products is how long they actually lasted!

This product, the almighty Macadamia Leave-In Cream has been on top of the Hair Products chart for the last couple of years and being searching for a new hair product, this one was a MUST try. I've got to say, I could not be happier with this product. You may notice that this is the smaller version of the big baby that is very raved about. I bought this just so I could try it and it lasted me about 8 months! I wash my hair about 3 times a week and have used this almost, if not every time. I am so surprised at how long this lasted and have already repurchased it, the same size too as I don't see it necessary to buy the big one! You can buy it here

Another one of the chart-toppers is the John Frieda Frizz-Ease Serum which I have repurchased for the 4th time. That's right, FOURTH! I buy the Extra Strength version and always end up buying 2 at the same time as that's when they're on offer, like 2 for £8 or something, which is ok as I know I'll use it! I use a pea sized amount on wet hair - it says damp but I just can't wait that long! If I do try to wait until my hair is damp, I'll probably forget to apply this. You can buy it here.

That's my hair edition product empties, both of which I've already repurchased! What are your hair product must haves?
