Win a Weekend Away for Mother's Day!

Hello!

"Everyday, she'll be doing things for us to make our lives easier"

That time of year has approached us already, and Mother's Day is just around the corner. Well, actually it's next Sunday!

It's nice to have a day to appreciate the mothers. Mothers do so much for us and we definitely don't given them enough credit (well, at least I don't - guilty!). Just like Valentine's Day, we shouldn't thank our mothers one day a year, but should everyday.

My mother is so lovely. She always puts us (my brother, dad and I) first, and it feels like she's living for us. Everyday, she'll be doing things for us to make our lives easier, and not once has she thought about herself. In the morning, mum would wake up before all of us, whether it be a 4am emergency call for my dad, or a relaxing Sunday, or whatever, she'll be up and ready, cleaned the bathroom, made breakfast and tea and freshly presses juice for us all before sitting down herself. She'll be doing anything she can for us, and is the most happy person I know - always has a smile on her face!

My mother is One in a Million, and I love her to bits, but don't tell her enough!

As me, I'm sure you love your mum just as much, and to treat her this mother's day, there's a competition you can enter to win a weekend at one of Parkdean's Award Winning Holiday Parks.

All you have to do, is write a short paragraph as to why your mother is One in a Million. How lovely would it be to surprise your mum?!

I hope you have a lovely Mother's Day on Sunday 15th March 2015.

Tell me: What's one way your mother is One in a Million?

LBD Dream Date Style Challenge ft. DailyLook : FASHION

Hello!

Beautysets - LBD Dream Date Style Challenge
"accessorising the dress with nude shoes, a nude bag and a nude blazer was something 'so me'."

I come to you with a fashion post today. I was inspired by DailyLook’s Little Black Dress ‘LBD’ Dream Date Style Challenge, where you create a style set on what you’d wear on your, well, ‘dream date’. I was able to look through all of their little black dresses here to choose my favourite.

DailyLook has some pretty dresses and this is the one that stood out to me. The elegant cut means it's not very revealing as it goes right to the top. The lace detail creates an elegant, girly vibe. I am a huge fan of nude, definitely my go-to shade. So, accessorising the dress with nude shoes, a nude bag and a nude blazer was something 'so me'.  Finally, I am a huge fan of gold, preferring it over silver (which explains my gold iPhone 6), so the dainty, simple gold necklace was what I chose.

Overall, a great outfit that's not too dressy but has nice details. Perfect for a more dressy cinema trip, an evening at a restaurant or even switching up the shoes for flats and you're even fit to go for a walk near the Thames.

So, tell me, do you have any go-to colour combinations for outfits?

Easy Valentines Day Recipes!

Hello!

Being it February Valentines Day is one of the big events (if not the biggest) - whether you have plans or not, it doesn't mean you can't make valentines inspired food!
Well, I'm not that great of a baker, yet I do like to bake! So, for V. Day I wanted to make something simple and easy, which doesn't take very long so it can practically be eaten straight away - being impatient and all! So here are some VERY simple recipes you (and your friends) can make in a matter of minutes!

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

A typical Valentines Day Snack that is super easy and extremely tasty! The first picture looks so lovely and pink - perfect for Valentines Day, but still quite hard, so a simple chocolate covered strawberry will do too! All you do is melt some chocolate (milk, white or dark -up to you) and dip strawberries in. You can either have a fondue style or simply leave the chocolate to cool and have later. I prefer it like a fondue! Yum!

Cocoa Cornflakes/Rice Krispies Treats

Do you remember doing this as a kid? I remember in Primary School one Friday afternoon we got to make these - that was because a teaching assistant was leaving so she decided to treat us!
Anyway, there are multiple ways of making this - you can either simply melt chocolate and mix in cornflakes/rice krispies or with cocoa. Melting Chocolate is probably the easiest option. To break it down, just get some chocolate, melt on a double boiler or microwave (be careful not to burn it, trust me it's not nice in terms of smell, or taste of course!) and mix in cornflakes/rice krispies.

I'm not sure if that was completely necessary to explain yet there we go! :)

Pink Popcorn

This was a new one for me! I thought it was very nice! Basically you add food colouring to popcorn! I haven't done this before yet loved the idea! Perfect if you're watching a movie for V. Day!

Pretty Pink Trail Mix

This is so super easy too, it's just throwing together things you have such as cereals (cheerios, raisin wheats, shredded wheat… etc.) chocolate chips, M&M's, popcorn, raisins, dried cranberries, nuts… whatever you have! I love how you don't need anything specific for this and you can make this completely to your taste! Again, perfect for a movie or night in or something you may have planned for valentines day!

So, that's a couple of snacks you can make which are super, super easy to make and so simple!

Girl Time: Movies to Watch!

Hello!

If you follow me on twitter (which I've been using a more - Yay!) you may have seen the tweet about my recent movie night! I like to have the occasional chick flick night where I usually end up bawling my eyes out and then feel really motivated after it - just inspired for life, you know?

Anyway, one friday night I decided to watch a movie and googled something to watch. I didn't get many great results so decided to make my own post about movies you could watch when you want a girly night in!

1. The Notebook

A classic romantic movie that everyone will have heard of!

2. Safe Haven
Image from here
I didn't realise how similar the movie covers looked, but heres another one that is nice!

3. The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants
Image from here
This was the movie I watched when I posted that tweet! It's different from the other two listed but still is really girly!

So, why not watch a movie today!
