The DUFF Movie Review | THE VERDICT

Hello!

source
Every time I see the word 'DUFF' I cannot help but think of Duff Beer. The Simpsons basically owned that word in my head, but apparently there was another use for it. Oh, and needless to mention, the gorgeous Bella Thorne is in the movie, yet not going to lie, she wasn't the reason I'd watch the movie. The main guy, however, called Wes (Robbie Amell), is the reason you should watch the movie. He's the charming, super cute guy that you see in practically every chick flick/teen movie, yet he plays it very, very well.

Everyday - David Leviathan | BOOKS

Hello!

"my mind does somersaults and flips and thinks "what the heck, that it so weird... ""

You know when you're in that stage where reading is becoming much more regular? Then you think to yourself 'Why don't I do this more often - reading is amazing!'. Well, right now, I'm in one of those periods. In fact, you might have already been able to tell considering the many book reviews that you might have read recently on BBXO! But this one? This one is a little bit different, and here's why.

The story line is out there. It's about something I would have never thought of, let alone write an entire book about. David Leviathan does have a wacky way with things, as I noticed when I read Will Grayson, Will Grayson - which was a book written by both John Green and David Leviathan. Yet this time, it was way wackier. I'm talking somebody walking up as a different person every single day.

Ironically, I read in bed before I go to sleep, and when reading about this guy (or girl) walking up in a different bed every morning, my mind does somersaults and flips and thinks
"what the heck, that it so weird... imagine walking up in a different room everyday, different person, different family... woah that's crazy!".
Yep, that's what goes on in my head at nighttime.

"if you're also on the 'Good Vibes Only' bandwagon, then you know that this approves. "

Although it was an interesting storyline, I did find myself getting bored during some parts of the book, yet there was always a mystery about who A (a.k.a. the guy or girl whom wakes up in a different body everyday) is going to be the next day. That part was interesting. But that's kind of what the whole thing was about, and there wasn't that much of a bigger picture to the whole thing.

Adding to that, it was quite difficult to relate to, yet it had a unique concept on life. When I read the first few pages of the book, I remember thinking "This is one positive book". If you know me, or follow the Motivation Monday posts here on BBXO, you'd know I live for positive vibes. This book was very positive. So, if you're also on the 'Good Vibes Only' bandwagon, then you know that this approves.

"It's about something I would have never thought of, let alone write an entire book about."

If you want a spin off from the usual Nicholas Sparks romantic or Hunger Games adventure book, give this one a go, experience life in a different perspective and let me know what you think.

Tell me, are you a fan of John Green/David Leviathan type of books, or do you reach for something less 'out there'?

One Direction FOUR: Music

Hello!

" songs you'd want to listen to when you're in the car on a rainy day and looking out the window as though you're in a movie"

With a new year (I'm probably going to start every post in January with that opening!), new music is called for. Is it really? No, probably not, but what can go wrong - other than being totally addicted to it and having to listen to it 24/7!

Well, I've never really been a huge, die-hard fan of 1D, until now. Literally, the most recent album, Four, has been on repeat. After listening to the Four album playlist on YouTube about a million times, I decided it was time to add it to the iTunes playlist - and I never looked back!

My top 3 favourites from the album are: "Fool's Gold", "Night Changes" and "Ready to Run". Special mention to "18" too.
*Click on the titles to be directed to a download link.

The album is great because it's quite relaxing. Like, it has the type of songs you'd want to listen to when you're in the car on a rainy day and looking out the window as though you're in a movie - catch my drift?

So, if you're looking for a couple of songs to add to your playlist, don't let any stereotype of 1D stop you. Their music is great and that's all that matters!

Tell me, are you a 1D fan? If so, what's your favourite song?

Young & Hungry - ANOTHER New Series

Hello!

"7 episodes in a row is enough excuse to prove to you how feel-good the show is -"

You may have read about another new series last week on this post - yet I've got another recommendation for you! YOUNG & HUNGRY.

Do you recognise the main character? Emily Osment, featured in Hannah Montana, Cyberbully and Spy Kids, is the star of the show! Her witty, funny and totally loveable character captures your heart and humour right from episode 1.

Watching 7 episodes in a row is enough excuse to prove to you how feel-good the show is - believe me!

So, if you're looking for a comedy, light-hearted show to fall in love with, this one is for you! Oh, and notice that each episode is called Young & ______ - for example, the 1st episode is Young & Ringless, another is Young & Secret, another is Young & Car-Less... you get the picture!

Have you seen an episode yet - and do you think you're 'Young & LOVING THE SHOW'?!?! see what I did there? haha!

Get Fall-Festive! - Room Decor

Hello!

October is most definitely among us no matter how unreal it may seem that we're already in the 10th month of the year - so that means you and I need to make our rooms more fit for the cold and cosy months! Do I sound excited through this post to you? Because I am. Believe me.

First, and foremost, the easiest and most simple thing you can do is light a candle. Okay it's not that easy - I mean you have to go out and look for and buy a candle, then come home, put it in a room then light it (gasp) BUT essentially it's a great way to make your room fall festive! This is one I recently bought and lit:

It's a mulled wine and cinnamon apple scent and makes the room smell and feel warm and luxurious! Featured in my book review here - yes I light candles and read books: pure luxury.

Another idea is things to do with Pine Cones.
You could decorate them with glitter and put them in a pretty bowl.

This is so easy to do and you can just get the pinecones for free in a local park (as long as it's permitted). For the longest time, I called these beauties ACORNS not PINECONES and it wasn't until I spent a while google-ing random words to try and find what they are called that I started calling them Pinecones - because that's what they are: Pinecones! Anyway, there's a accessible idea too!

If you don't want to decorate the pinecones (not called acorns - even though you could also collect acorns to display/decorate) then simply decorate the basket

Flowers are not only for summer - warm coloured flowers can be stunners for fall too! Who doesn't love a little bit of florals in their life?! If there really aren't any flowers around, even branches look lovely when displayed right!

Adding a knit pillow will bring some cosiness to your room!

Finally, add some pumpkin to your life. October wouldn't be October without a bit of Pumpkin!

This image is of a pumpkin covered in stocking! What a great idea! It looks so lovely! I wish England was more pumpkin-festive... not many people around here have pumpkins out during fall!

Anyway, I hope you have a Fall-festive season and make your room as cosy as possible!
What are your ideas for fall decor?
