Get to Know Me Tag!

Hello!

I hope you're having a fabulous Wednesday! I cannot believe it is the last day of April! This year has been going by at crazy fast speed!
Actually, last week Paula from thirteenthoughts.com tagged me to do this tag!
Paula is so gorgeous and her blog is stunning - I love reading about her life, her fashion find and everything else! I'm sure you'll love her blog as much as I do!!

1. Are you named after someone?
Nope. I am the only girl from my first cousins on my Dad's side, and also the youngest - so basically everyone in my family (more specifically my grandparents and aunts) wanted something traditional, and girly - hence, my name is Puja.

2. When was the last time you cried?
Erm... Friday - basically it was just about stress and my hormones were all over the place... #girlproblems

3. Do you have kids?
No, but I would like to someday!

4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?
This is a very different question! I guess I would but I'd be annoyed at myself, too - probably because of my crazy mood swings. But maybe it's because I am myself that I know about my mood swings and I'm not sure if other people realise? So, I think I would... does that make sense?!

5. Do you have a guilty pleasure?
I like to spend some days doing literally nothing, but simply relaxing and watching episodes of PLL or Revenge! But, nothing else so "guilty" really!

6. Do you like handwriting?
I thought this was an interesting question! I actually do! I love handwriting, I think it shows a lot about a person and adds some uniqueness too. I kind of feel like we shouldn't have computers and stuff because people are handwriting things less - it's kind of sad!

7. What is your favourite cereal?
Raisin Wheats!! I love adding toppings to it too, like peanut butter and strawberries! Yummy!

8. What is the first thing you notice about people?
Hmm... I don't know - I guess their hair maybe? I actually don't know! I feel like I notice their personality first.. :)

9. What colour are your eyes?
Brown!

10. Scary Movies or Happy Endings?
Happy Endings!

11. Favourite TV Show?
PLL or Revenge

12. Summer or Winter?
Autumn! ha - sorry but that's my choice! :D

13. Hugs or Kisses?
umm.... hugs! (especially bear hugs for comfort!)

14. What's the furthest you've been from home?
Well, I live in London (UK), so the furthest would be Florida - I went when I was quite young on a family trip to Disney Land and Sea World! It was pretty fun and I remember the weather there being so amazing and the roads so big! I would love to go to the US again!

15. Do you have special talents?
Well, I dance. The last show I had was in November last year at a Theatre in South London. It was super cool as we had a dressing room with a mirror surrounded by those round light bulbs - like the ones in the movies!

16. Where were you born?
London

17. What are your hobbies?
I love blogging (duh!). I also have been into reading again - oh, and I love decorating. I re-did my room and it was super fun working around the things I already had and put together something that I love.

18. Do you have any pets?
Not at the moment. I had goldfishes when I was younger, then a Hamster and then a Rabbit. My Rabbit died 2 years ago and since then I haven't bought a pet!
R.I.P. <3
19. Favourite Movie?
Lets go with a classic Disney Movie: The Jungle Book. This is because my cousin was 'Baloo' the Bear in a school play and I distinctively remember going to see it when I was about 5 years old. It's probably one of my earliest memories but I still remember it and love the songs from the movie (Bear Necessities, anyone?)

20. What colour is your Car?
Black

21. What did you want to be when you grew up?
I had thoughts on becoming an actress, a singer (thinking I could totally sing, but really if I did, the windows would break!), an author, a lawyer, a doctor, a... everything! haha! I was one of those kids who changed their minds every second!

Whey, that's it! I hope you enjoyed reading it and thanks to Paula for tagging me!
So tell me:  Do you have special talents?!

BerryReads: Book Wishlist #2

Hello!

Happy Monday! Considering the last few posts on Monday's have been either Mani Monday's or Motivational Mondays - which I love doing both of them by the way - maybe it was time to switch it up a bit. Considering the enthusiasm I have for books right now, it was the perfect time for a Wishlist post! Having done one of these before and only reading one of the three I had then been interested in, lets hope its more successful this time!

Gone Girl
You probably have heard of this book before! I definitely have but it had never caught my eye... until I read the blurb earlier today:
Who are you? What have we done to each other? These are the questions Nick Dunne finds himself asking on the morning of his fifth wedding anniversary, when his wife Amy suddenly disappears. The police suspect Nick. Amy's friends reveal that she was afraid of him, that she kept secrets from him. He swears it isn't true. A police examination of his computer shows strange searches. He says they weren't made by him. And then there are the persistent calls on his mobile phone. So what really did happen to Nick's beautiful wife? '

Tell me you're not intrigued! No wonder it's a bestseller - it's quite bad how I just judged the book by it's (almost) bland cover. Yet, I cannot wait to give this book a try!

The Bookstore Penelope

These two books are about girls who go to University - both in America in this case. These two were mentioned in 'Stylish' Magazine and the blurbs again caught my eye. These are not as well known as 'Gone Girl' but definitely seem interesting - more of a light read, if you may. I don't like to read too many "intense" books at a time, so maybe these will be nice breathers! (Is that really weird, or do you do the same? :P)

Insurgent

Having had a debate on whether Divergent is better than The Hunger Games on Friday, many of you said to read the books too! I didn't get around to finish reading Divergent, not sure whether it was because I wasn't 'in to' reading at the time or because I didn't like the book - but I loved the movie. Therefore, I'm going to give this a shot!

Have you read any of these books, and what's on your "wish list"?

Divergent or The Hunger Games?

Hello!

Happy Friday! I hope you have had a lovely week and are looking forward to the weekend as much as I am! Being a Friday, it's MOVIE NIGHT! Actually, I watched Divergent last week and wanted to tell you all about it! Long story short: it's a good movie! Better than Hunger Games? Well, read on to find out!
1 // 2
Having started reading the book, it was one I had not got round to finishing, simply because I got bored. Weirdly enough, the same had happened with The Hunger Games - I started reading the book but never finished it.

Many people have compared the two movies due to the similarities in genre and same target audience. I, for one, loved Hunger Games Catching Fire - mainly due to the ending of the movie where (spoiler alert) the place catches fire. The reference to this and the title of the movie got me excited so it ended on a happy note, I guess!

Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from Divergent. I thought it'd just be another movie, not so special, yet average. Boy, was I wrong! I loved it! It was surprisingly good - even though the ending was quite cliché. I loved the way that Tris picked up her game and the message 'work hard, play hard' was shown throughout the movie. Also, it shows that people are not one dimensional, they do not have one trait but various traits of different amounts.

Overall, I did prefer Divergent over Hunger Games. Maybe because I felt that the Hunger Games was also overhyped about before I saw the movie, and I guess it was a bit of a let down. Compared to Divergent, which I didn't think much of, so it did exceed my (low) expectations.

Well, are you Team Divergent or Team Hunger Games?

Easy way to Deep Clean your Technology

Hello!

Maybe it's the season, the sun shining and the spring cleaning 'bug' - but whatever it is, I felt the need to clean the thing I use most: My Laptop. Are you with me?!
Obviously, being the clean freak that I am, I have cleaned my laptop prior to using 'CyberClean' but it wasn't that effective.. read on to find out why!

Well, this product is totally handy for cleaning and screen - your TV screen, Computer Screen, Phone Screen and in this case, Laptop Screen! It comes with a little holder and a cleaning solution which is squirted out using the spray. After spraying you use the felt at the back to wipe the screen.

I'm not sure if you can see the difference from the pictures but any finger print marks and dust disappeared and, in the after shot you can see how much clear the screen is!
When I'd clean it before, I'd usually somehow still end up with dust on the screen or some inevitable random fluff - but with the felt on the spray, it really got everything and the shape of it was great for rounded corners too!

In addition, Cyber Clean sell this compound that intrigued me - mainly due to the selling point of reaching the hard-to-reach areas of the keys. The compound is basically goo. It's actually quite fun to handle and smells citrus-y - very clean! Notice in the 'After' picture above, you can see the shape of the keys and some dirt on the compound gathered from cleaning.

It's super easy - and kind of fun - to clean the keyboard. I also cleaning the edges of the laptop and pretty much everywhere!

In addition, I cleaned my keyboard cover too - and it worked quite well! It reached around the keys too, and was left as good as new!

I totally recommend the screen and keyboard set from CyberClean! It will make your cleaning so much easier, trust me, and if you're a bit of a clean freak like me, then I'm sure you'll be glad this came into your life!

Here are the links to the website:

Tell me, what is your one favourite cleaning product?!

*Product sent for PR purposes, it doesn't bias the review in any way.

Motivation Monday - Excitement is Good!

Hello!

Yet another Monday has arrived at our doorstep, but this Monday is different... It's Easter Bank Holiday Monday! Wooo! Okay, you may be thinking I am over exaggerating with how excited I am about this day, but that's kind of the point of this post...

As we grow older, somehow our brains seem to think that getting excited over the small stuff is very weird - or unacceptable. It makes us feel as though we're childish and immature. Honestly, though, the youth are said to be the best years of our life - so why purposely (or unconsciously) try to rid that happiness sooner than necessary?

Is it wrong to be excited about the smallest things? No. Would people think it's weird? Maybe. Well, you know that you can never make every single person in the world happy - so do it for the person that matters most in the world to you: YOU.

For the last couple of days, I have been happy for no particular reason, yet for almost every reason. Making the most of the situation. Admiring the beautiful things in life and just smiling.
The quote about is very true - there are so many beautiful reasons to be happy.

Okay, I understand that it is almost (I said ALMOST) impossible to Always be happy - yet the time we spend unhappy is time not well spent. Try and be happy, even when it feels impossible. Look at the things you love most. Make the most out of the things you have to do and hopefully you'll find something beautiful..

So, this Motivation Monday may seem a bit cliché, but I feel it's important to tell you to be happy. Even though you've read it in more than one other motivation monday - I still believe the overall goal in life is to be happy.

I hope you have a fabulous Bank Holiday Monday if you're in the UK, or just a Beautiful day anyway!

Tell me a beautiful thing you've seen today, maybe the look of your tea this morning, or the flowers in  the garden, or the look on your dogs face when you gave it some breakfast - what has been a beautiful thing you've seen today?

BerryReads: The Fault In Our Stars

Hello!

Well, you're probably quite annoyed at how much TFIOS has been hyped about (mentioned it about 4 times on BBXO alone!) - but one more post won't hurt you, right?! On the other hand, you may love TFIOS and don't mind reading another post! Either way, lets read on! :D

I actually finished reading the book and have got to say: It was quite moving! I love the story behind it but the ending I didn't love!! Throughout the whole story, Hazel, the protagonist, has a favourite book which ends abruptly without all the questions answered and I feel TFIOS kind of ends like that - though not as badly! Wait, does that mean there's going to be a sequel?! :O

Anyway, I liked how the book really made me realise how lucky I am - it shows the way a person with cancer feels, yet I love the idea behind it that they can still live a fantastic life, which I have always believed. Everyone deserves an amazing life and I love that the book portrays it.

If I am honest, considering how hyped up the book is, I don't feel it completely met my expectations and high hopes for it. Although it wasn't the best book I have ever read, it was a lovely one, with a great moral behind the story to live life the best you can everyday - which reminds me of a motivation monday post! I do recommend the book, yet just a warning to you that it has been overhyped! The movie is coming out this summer and I am excited to see how they have transformed it into a motion picture!

Have you read TFIOS? What do you think?

Purchase of the Week: Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance

Hello!
Is it really a Miracle?!
This week has been filled with a lot of buying, although my wallet may not be so fond of it, I hope my hair is! Do you find that there are periods in your life that your hair is just not working for you? Well, I felt this is that period for me at the moment! I mean, I've tried different products to see what my hair likes, for example Almond Oil on damp hair, but something just doesn't feel right - so it was time to try something new.

Even the name on the bottle is telling you and I that this product is a miracle - let's just hope it lives up to it's name! I used it this morning and my hair does feel like frizzy already!
I previously have tried the Aussie 'Luscious Long Leave-In Conditioner' and remember being it love with it - but can't remember why I didn't buy it afterwards. That product had the most amazing smell. It lingered throughout the day too, and was definitely a mood lifter! I searched for about 10 minutes for that product but they didn't have it in store, so I just went with this one. I was hoping for the same/similar effect with this Aussie product but didn't find that this was the case - I wish it had been!

Overall, so far so good. Considering that I've only tried the product once so far, I don't think there is enough opinions about it to justify if I'd repurchase, but I shall keep you updated!

What is your miracle hair product?!

Mani Monday: Denim Blue

Hello!

After about 2 months, yes you read that right - 2 MONTHS, of having bare nails, I thought it was about time to paint them again. I had gotten used to seeing them bare, but couldn't bare it any longer! (see what I did there?! haha)

Being it Spring time, it's usually the time to whip out the denim. This, as well as the blue trend I mentioned in the last nail post, it was nice to take advantage.

I went with a blue from FCUK, and didn't realise how much I love nail polish!

What shade are you currently wearing, or are you bare like I was?!

Current Love: Pretty Little Liars

Hello!

Being a student and exam time coming very soon -so soon that I don't want to mention when exactly, because that would make them feel real and then stress me out- does that mean we can't watch TV anymore and should be revising? No, as I've watched like 6 episodes of one particular TV show in the few days and I loved every second of it! What TV show you ask? PLL of course!

I am up to date with the 4th series, so if you're not there yet and don't want any spoilers, you may want to stop reading now... because I can't promise nothing slipping out!

Okay, if you have carried on: EZRA isn't A?!
I knew it! The moment they had shown Fitz in the 'A Room' I knew it was another 'Toby' incident and that he wasn't A, I mean come on!! Did you think he was A for any moment? Although, when they did show that he was A, I became very vary for Aria and was shouting at the screen when she lied to others in order to be with him!

So, Alison is alive and Spencer could have been the "murderer"? I think she might. That seems sort of realistic as she was on the drugs at the time, and the evidence does lead to her! How weird is that?!

If she was the killer, who the hell is A?! And why are they stalking the girls?
Do they want to reveal that Spencer is the killer? If they did, they could have done it all this time - I mean they do have some evidence and stuff!

Oh, and where has Cici Drake gone? What was her biggie in all of this!
Don't get me started on Mona - what is up with the girl dating Aria's little brother and what did she have to do with Ezra? All that Ezra went through was for a book? He was manipulating peoples lives for a book? That's deep!

So, to end that ramble about PLL - any suggestions on who 'A' is?!

Sporty Trend: SS14 - love it or hate it?

Hello!

The last two days has been super sunny in London! It's actually sort of feeling like spring! To take advantage of this, a trend came to mind: sporty.

Don't get me wrong, wearing sporty clothes is quite comfy and all - and I tend to wear it without thinking about the fashion behind it, yet it being an actual trend? Hmm I'm not too sure about it.
Let's take a look at the catwalk:

Tommy Hilfiger presented this look. The monotone blue does remind us of the gym - with the collar top reminding me of P.E. in Primary School!

Track suit trend! Again, I love wearing track suits when I come home after a long day, yet would I wear this out? Some things should just stay at home, right?

This does look super comfy, I must admit!!

The colours are not the girliest, are they? :P

Okay, this is where it ends. The socks are a no-no!

All in all, although the sport trend may not be particularly my style - at least I can make my emergency evening supermarket runs in style, right? Haha!

Love it or hate it?

Motivation Monday: Live Life Now

Hello!

Happy Monday! I've got an extra special reason why this monday is a happy one - I'm home for the next 2 weeks! Yay! But that doesn't mean you can't be happy with your Monday, anyway! Everyday should be a happy day, right?! Thus leading onto the first part of the post...

Everyday should be a good day, just enjoy life! What's a life waiting for the next day to be a good one, when you can make today a good one! It's fun to be happy!

Adding to that, obviously there are things we cannot control. Maybe someone did something that made you feel down, or something happened you wish didn't. Guess What? We can't really change what happened. We can move on, make it better if we can, or just make now/today the best it can be!

Finally, I'll leave you today will a happy Giraffe! Because this Giraffe looks really happy, makes me happy and I hope you're happy! (I couldn't say happy one more time in that sentence, could I?! haha!)

What is your word of Happy Advice?!

*Images are not mine, I had them saved and do not know the source..

BerryReads: Losing It by Cora Carmack

Hello!

Another week, another Friday and another Book Review! Before last week I could have easily said I haven't read a book in ages. You know the feeling: it's like you want to read but somehow can't find the time and excuses excuses.... Yet I thought it was time to jump back on the bandwagon as reading is a nice sense of escapism and puts our imagination to good use. At the right time and the right place, this book stepped into my life, due to spontaneously downloadng the book after reading a book review (here) - and am I glad I did!

Losing it is about a girl in college in Texas experiencing the joys of college life, but there one thing she hasn't done.

Blurb: Bliss Edwards is about to graduate from college and still has hers. Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, she decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible-- a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if that weren't embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theatre professor. She'd left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier.

So I guess it seems like quite a typical story line, think PLL Ezria - but it's not all about that it may seem. The book is packed with humour, awkwardness and friendship. What I liked about it is that it is not all perfection on the girls behalf, it's more realistic. I like the way you can clearly imagine everything, from the location of the apartments to the actions of her best friends. The book is very well written and the storyline is fun!

If you're looking for a rom com, chick flick kind of book - this is for you. It's filled with humour, girl problems and all the components of a chick flick!
Having read this in about a week, when I normally take about 3, it's definitely a book you will not want to put down.

I am literally on the last 20 pages of the book and have loved every moment of it so far, hence why I'll be reading the other books in the series!

Have you read any RomComs books that you recommend?

Healthy Chocolate - Is it really tasty?

Hello!

Hearing the words 'healthy' and 'chocolate' together sounds a little weird... And slightly untrue! However, it might be a bit more normal to hear after you've read this post!

Healthy Chocolate. Oxymoron - yet couldn't be truer with Conscious Chocolate! Conscious chocolate is chocolate (duh!) made with raw products. It is sweetened with Agave Nectar which is obviously better than the over-processed and bleached white sugar found in regular chocolates

The oh-so-raw chocolate has a different texture to your regular dairy milk. It has a truffle-like texture which is very soft. If you try to break the chocolate into pieces, it doesn't snap, it kind of slowly breaks apart - sort of like caramel  (Does that even make sense?!).

Conscious chocolate have a wide range of flavours to choose from, ranging from 'Goji and Coconut' to a nutty chocolate bar to a cherry flavour and loads of flavours in between!
I got to try the 'Essential Orange' and 'Mint Hint'. You're bound to find something that catches your attention!
I love the 'Essential Orange' flavour. The chocolate is more on the dark chocolate, bitter taste - which I wasn't too fond of at first but it definitely grew on me! As I had more of the orange, I started liking it more and more. It's true what they say about your taste buds adapting!
However, I wasn't a huge fan if mint to begin with so naturally, I preferred the Orange flavoured chocolate!

I like how they didn't try to fool us with the nutritional information. Sometimes products show the nutritional information about 1/5th if the packet and we assume it's the whole thing - however, Consious Chocolate give us info of the whole thing! Also, all the products are natural, minimal process and still taste great. Good going, conscious!

The products are packaged in 3 wrappers.
1) it is wrapped in a bit of paper
2) it's put inside a foil baggie (as shown in the picture)
3) it is then inside the main packaging with the name if the flavour

Just to mention, I love the packaging and how all the flavours have different outer package! The paper packaging (1) is good as it keeps the chocolate together and not melting on your hand as you get it out, the foil baggie keeps the chocolate fresh and the other packaging to name the flavours!

Overall the chocolates from 'Conscious Chocolate' taste so yummy and it's nice to know they're not processed and are raw. Oh, and I have to mentioned the scents of them - they are so good! Like you open the first packaging and the scent lingers! It's a lovely strong scent of the essential flavours -yum!

So, is it a little more normal to hear 'healthy chocolate' after reading this? Or are those two words together will never sound normal! Try out 'Conscious Chocolate' (link here) and then tell me these two words are made for each other: Healthy Chocolate!

What are your favourite healthy desserts?

*Conscious Chocolate did send the two products to me for review purposes, but all of the information is honest and not biased
