Hello!
"You can become what you respect. That's the least that you can do." |
These posts are one of my favourites. Why? Well, they're all about spreading positivity, encouraging thinking about who we are and who we want to become, and I can almost feel myself coming 'back down to earth' as I write this, and maybe you feel the same when you read it. There is a reason quotes are ever-so popular, and here are 4 that you must read today.
source: 1, 2 "Just work on yourself, and everything will fall into place" |
The second quote relates a lot to the first. I believe thinking positive will make positive things happen (Read: Morning Thoughts). Make sure you feel good about yourself, and do things that make you feel good.
source: 1, 2 "Whether it be their morals, their attitude or even their dress sense, you want to be like them" |
Yet, we need to know, it takes time (Read: Patience), and if you're not where you want to be in a certain time, just carry on working on it. It's not the end of the world, it's not the end of your journey.
Finally, the quote that inspired this entire post: 'Reflect what you desire, Become what you respect'.
There are certain people in your life that you look up to. Whether it be a parent, a celebrity, a friend or a sibling. These are the people you think of when you say 'I want to be like them'. They are the people you admire, and the people you respect. Whether it be their morals, their attitude or even their dress sense, you want to be like them. Well, what if I tell you that you can?
I understand that you are most like the people you hang out with (Read: Be your best average), so I'm telling you to take note of the things you admire, the morals you want to have, and referring to the first quote, work on yourself and become all those things you respect and admire. Hang out with people you admire, and people that life you.
You can be who you want to be. You can become what you respect. That's the least that you can do.
This was a pretty lengthly, babble-y post but I really felt the need to address this, and share this with you. It's so easy to get lost and not think about who you are and who you want to become. It's so easy to get into the swing of bad habits, but it's good to remember the kind of person you want to be, and more importantly, realise that you can become that person.
Tell me, what tips would you give to someone wanting to 'improve themselves'?
