BOO!!
Did that scare you? Did it? Did it? haha, instead of introducing you with 'Hello!' I chose 'BOO!!' because that's just more appropriate for this fine autumn day, marking the last day of October (and the day Vampires come out!).
So I drew a picture in the theme of tonight and wanted to share it with you. It's the same kind of thing as this picture, and I hope you have an AMAZING halloween!
If you're still stuck for costume ideas click here for last minute ideas you probably have in your closet anyway...
I hope you have a FANG-tastic night and enjoy it!

NOTD - Barry M, Red Wine is Blood?
Hello!
I feel like it's been a long time since I've done a Nail of the Day post and what better day to do it than a couple of days prior to Halloween considering the colour of my nails this week! The last one I did was a sparkly one!
This is a Barry M nail paint in 'Red Whine' with a top coat of Rimmel Matte Top Coat - so basically it's a matte Burgundy colour. The pictures look very different to each other because some were taken in my bathroom as the lighting is always better in there when there's no daylight! BUT I find they look a little more matte in real life than the bathroom pictures.
I went on the Barry M website to make sure of the name of the polish and saw this. It's a legit Matte Burgundy shade, exactly like what I've got on! How weird! I didn't even know they existed!
I've got to admit the Rimmel Matte Top Coat is amazing! It makes it so I can get various looks from one nail paint, either matte or glossy! Oooh, and if you do have a matte top coat try it on glitter nail polish. It. Looks. Stunning.
Oh, and it's Monday, so a Manicure Monday was totally due! Have a great week!

TV Show Obsession
Hello!
With cold nights you want to snuggle up in a blanket and watch a TV show even more than before. I had a problem, though: what show to watch?!
I have been a PLL fan for a long time and am close, very close, to catching up to the latest episode. I do not want to be up to date, however, as this means I cannot just turn it on whenever I feel like it! So, I decided to do what seemed obvious: Watch a new show.
After a couple of days of debating which show to watch, asking various people and even googling it - as you know, google knows everything - I was left with a shortlist of TV shows I could get into.
This included the likes of The Vampire Diaries, Once Upon a Time and Revenge.
After watching some trailers and then finally doing ip-dip-do, I came to a conclusion and Revenge it was!

This is good! The show is really interesting and I like having it playing in the background when I'm doing something or just sitting down with a bowl of popcorn and a snuggly blanket - that's the thug life.
Joke!
Anyway, if you're looking for a show to watch, watch revenge - heres a link for the Trailer. Or, if you feel like watching a movie, here are some ideas!

Who to be for HALLOWEEN - Costume Ideas!
Hello!
Halloween is the highlight of October, even though it's right at the end!
It's great fun dressing up and watching scary movies or going to costume parties but there's one problem... what to dress up as?!
When I was younger I had this Witch hat that was black with a purple velvet trim and a fake spider stuck onto it which I wore for like 3 years straight because I wouldn't want anything else. One year, I found these fake fangs which when you kind of press your teeth together it lights up, so going trick or treating at about 6pm with a group of friends and our mums when it's really dark, my teeth would guide the way! I wander what happened to them...
Anyway these are my top ideas and how to get the look!

Headband - Claires
Dress - ModCloth
Shoes - Karen Millen
Belt - Asos
The good thing about this is you can wear the dress, shoes and belt throughout the year too, so you know you'll get a lot of use out of it! Plus it's super cute!
source: 1, 2 |
Angels and Goddess's look quite similar yet you can go with the boho style for the goddess and buy a halo for the angel look!
Dress: Oasis
Headdress: Asos
Shoes: Asos
So that's another outfit that you can wear again and not only on Halloween!
I personally love the idea for something cute and girly this year for halloween and these are three ideas that you can go with!
And if you're not really doing anything for halloween or planning to dress up, get with a movie, a chai tea latte and some cookies and wait until the first of November comes around - which sounds like just as fun!

A Quote to Remember.. Motivational Monday #2
Hello,
a fresh start to the week reminds us that anything is possible and we have a clean slate to work on.
I got a little board happy when I remembered that I had a bunch of new board pen colours waiting to be used (thank you Costco!) and did what naturally came to me:
Actually, there were a couple of Ladybirds on my window the other day and I got to see them up close and personal... and they inspired me to create this:
Do what makes you happy...
Take out your wings and fly if you feel like it or just sit back and relax: just enjoy.
Hope this makes you motivated and check out this post for more

Weekly Roundup #7
Hello!
Another Friday, another week coming to an end. Is it just me or do you feel that in winter the time seems to speed by, and generally you don't get much done... and you're tired all the time. Okay maybe the last one is just me. ANYWAY, these are some snaps I took recently that roundup... my week!Favourite Quote:
Check out Motivational Monday for more quotes!
Favourite Proud-Moment:
Yes, that's right - I hung that baby up all by myself. My desk is a mess, but that's what happens after some hard work - I did clear it up soon after! Okay, I didn't paint it or anything so I guess I shouldn't be as proud as I am about it, but I actually hung it up - and it's centred in the wall and I used a screw. Gosh I deserve a medal ;)

Get Super Soft, Lovely Hands
Hello!
Surprisingly you may not know exactly how important keeping your hands moisturised actually is. Read on and find out...
Today is National Wash your Hands day. I'm not lying, it really is! It's in this time of the year as with the colder weather, the case of the flu seems to have hit everyone at once. To help stop the vicious cycle of catching and spreading germs... well, wash your hands!
Constantly washing your hands means you're constantly removing moisture from them, leaving them dry and flaky. Whether you're a hand model or not, keeping your hands soft and lovely is key for youthful skin, and should be more of a priority than it seems to be.
Did you know your hands and neck are the first places that show signs of wrinkles? Keeping these area moisturised means you'll look youthful and radiant.
I keep telling my mum this and now she keeps a bottle of heavy moisturiser on the kitchen counter near the door so as she leaves her hands are moisturised. That's not to say I haven't seen my dad use it a couple of times too!
Itchiness, skin irritation and flakiness can also occur due to dry skin, known as xerosis.
Try these hand creams on-the-go:

and for a night time treatment - my go to product:

Keep these mini-products in many different places such as:
- desk
- purse
- bedside table
- kitchen counter
- coffee table
This way you remember to do this more often.... which is what I need to start doing more!
So let's do it, you and I - we'll get softer hands together!
Don't forget to check out this post to see whether your makeup needs to be thrown out!

Girl Time: Movies to Watch!
Hello!
If you follow me on twitter (which I've been using a more - Yay!) you may have seen the tweet about my recent movie night! I like to have the occasional chick flick night where I usually end up bawling my eyes out and then feel really motivated after it - just inspired for life, you know?
Anyway, one friday night I decided to watch a movie and googled something to watch. I didn't get many great results so decided to make my own post about movies you could watch when you want a girly night in!
1. The Notebook

Get Fall-Festive! - Room Decor
Hello!
October is most definitely among us no matter how unreal it may seem that we're already in the 10th month of the year - so that means you and I need to make our rooms more fit for the cold and cosy months! Do I sound excited through this post to you? Because I am. Believe me.
First, and foremost, the easiest and most simple thing you can do is light a candle. Okay it's not that easy - I mean you have to go out and look for and buy a candle, then come home, put it in a room then light it (gasp) BUT essentially it's a great way to make your room fall festive! This is one I recently bought and lit:
It's a mulled wine and cinnamon apple scent and makes the room smell and feel warm and luxurious! Featured in my book review here - yes I light candles and read books: pure luxury.
Another idea is things to do with Pine Cones.
You could decorate them with glitter and put them in a pretty bowl.
source: here |
source: here |
If you don't want to decorate the pinecones (not called acorns - even though you could also collect acorns to display/decorate) then simply decorate the basket!
source: here |
source: here |
Flowers are not only for summer - warm coloured flowers can be stunners for fall too! Who doesn't love a little bit of florals in their life?! If there really aren't any flowers around, even branches look lovely when displayed right!
source: here |
Finally, add some pumpkin to your life. October wouldn't be October without a bit of Pumpkin!
source: here |
This image is of a pumpkin covered in stocking! What a great idea! It looks so lovely! I wish England was more pumpkin-festive... not many people around here have pumpkins out during fall!
Anyway, I hope you have a Fall-festive season and make your room as cosy as possible!
What are your ideas for fall decor?

BerryReads: Remember Me? -Sophie Kinsella
Hello!
Being fellow bookworms, do you ever have those books/articles you read and you think to yourself "I will never be able to forget reading this!"?! Whether that be because you're head over heels for it or because it was absolutely horrendous, you're still never be able to forget it... well, for me, this was one of those books.
The book "Remember Me?" by Sophie Kinsella was one of those books. Sophie Kinsella is a very popular author, you may have heard of "Confessions of a Shopaholic" - the famous movie - she wrote that book. Did you know that originally it was called "The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic" and there are many other books in the series including one about the shopaholics sister and another about the shopaholics baby! Anyway, when I picked up the book, I hadn't even noticed the authors name - I felt I recognised it but didn't pay much attention. It wasn't until I opened the front cover that I noticed!
The story is about a girl called Lexi who doesn't have the best life... she didn't get a bonus she was hoping for, her un-cool boyfriend stood her up and her father just died. Lexi got involved in an accident and seemed to wake up in hospital as a girl living what seemed like a perfect life: she has a hot husband, an expensive house, a convertible mercedes and (my favourite) a designer wardrobe! Lexi has lost her memory of the last 3 years of her life and wakes up to this! However, not everything is as perfect as it seems (gosh, that sounds so clique!).
I love the way the author has written the book, it is a real page turner and I couldn't put it down. Sophie seems to express Lexi's feelings in such a way that when she's happy, we the readers are happy, when she's sad, we're sad and when she's excited, so are we! Even though the st
ory line is not that relatable, I still shared emotions with Lexi. You can tell that Sophie truly put her heart and soul into this book as our hearts and souls get attached to it too!
I haven't read a book this good in ages, I read "About A Girl" before this one which you can read about here, but I preferred this one. I actually looked forward to dimming my lights, snuggling under the duvet and opening this book to a new world opening up inside my head. Reading 'Remember Me?' felt like I was actually daydreaming or watching a movie in my head - it all seemed so realistic.
Also, the way Sophie Kinsella made it so easy to understand and very personal as it was written as first person, you could easily slip into the mind of Lexi Smart - a funny, clever and pretty lady!
This was one book I will not be able to forget, maybe I'll read the Confessions of a Shopaholic series soon - I think I picked it up once but got bored and didn't finish more than 2 chapters... or was that Legally Blonde? Not sure...
I do, however, want to read more of Sophie Kinsella's books - a list can be seen here.
What's your unforgettable book you recommend to read next? Leave a comment!

Weekly Roundup #6
Hello!
I feel like I haven't done a weekly roundup in a while, however, I do them quite often... Well, since the blog has started I''ve done 5! Check them out here: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
Anyway, so here's my roundup for this week!
Well, it was the kind of week where I wasn't feeling the best in terms of enthusiasm and motivation, but this quote reached out a little to me:
Also check out my Motivational Monday post for more quotes to keep you going!
Speaking of quotes, and words in that matter, I finished a book! I loved it! A post on that will be coming out soon - watch this space. It's called Remember Me?, by Sophie Kinsella. I don't want to go into much detail about it as I'll have an entire post on it VERY soon! But, if you're looking for a new book to read: grab this one!
Finally I wanted to wind myself down this past week and lit a few candles. Candles always seem to make me feel relaxed and somewhat content! They make the room smell amazing and look somewhat romantic. Not that my life is romantic at all, but oh well.
So, yes, these are a few favourites from the week. Hopefully next week I'll have more favourites!

BeautyBuys: Rimmel London Apocalips!
Hello!
As for posting a Fashion Haul last Friday I thought I'd show you a Beauty Buy that I picked up during the weekend. I went shopping and as soon as I saw this on the shelf I knew I wanted it. Okay, I want a lot of things but this was something I REALLY wanted! So, I got it!
This product had a huge phase in the beauty blogger world and at the time I didn't pay attention to it! Now, however, I thought I'd pick it up - better late than never?
All the colours are very vibrant and it is said to be a lipstick in a lipgloss form. This is good as lipgloss always tend to be easier to apply colour evenly on the lips - and this was no different.
I went with Stellar, a deep red (slightly pink) shade, which is perfect for this season, alongside other makeup trends you can view here. Also, every girl needs a red shade in their beauty cabinet!
So, yes, I don't have much else to say about this product other than the application is easy (as far as I can tell with the one time I've used it so far!), the colour is bold/intense and the packaging is nice! You can pick one up for £6.49, have a choice of 13 shades and can buy more than one from here!
